LIVES and shapes have been transformed at a 12-week bootcamp in Buckingham.
Personal trainer Phil Robertson, from Padbury, offered five people the chance to join him for the free bootcamp, starting in January, with the chance for the person who made the most progress to receive a prize.
All five participants stuck the gruelling course of early-morning workouts starting at 6.30am three days a week by the River Great Ouse in Buckingham.
And between them they have lost in excess of 12st 7lb and 105 inches.
This week Mr Robertson announced two winners.
First prize went to Marcus Mears, from Grendon Underwood, for the biggest percentage weight loss.
Mr Mears aged 30, lost over 3st and 21 per cent of his total body weight. He wins a further six months’ free training plus an organic fruit and veg box.
The second prize, for highest inch loss, went to 21-year-old Sophie Wakeman, from Winslow, who lost 2st 7lb and a total of 75cm from the chest, waist, hips, thigh and arm. She wins a deep tissue massage or pamper of her choice courtesy of Buckingham salon The Beauty Box
Mr Mears said: “I feel so much different. The clothes I had before are now just hanging off me. I feel so much more vibrant and I’ve got more energy.”
Miss Wakeman said: “I feel different in every aspect of my life. I’m definitely going to carry on with Phil. He’s been so supportive.”
Mr Robertson said: “I work closely with people and try to find out as much as I can about their lifestyles in order to provide them with the best advice for them.”
